Study visit from the Office of the Judiciary of Thailand

Today, ICC Switzerland had the pleasure of receiving a delegation of around 30 judges from Thailand, who visited Zurich as part of a study tour to Switzerland and Austria.

The delegation, led by the Vice-President of the Supreme Court and the Justice of the Court of Appeal for Specialized Cases, was welcomed by ICC Switzerland Secretary General Thomas Pletscher and Simon Gabriel, president of the ICC Swiss Commission of Arbitration and ADR.

Thomas Pletscher and Simon Gabriel spoke to the guests about aspects of arbitration in Switzerland, and introduced the ICC Rules and ICC Court of Arbitration. This was complemented by a guest speaker, Dr Claudia Bühler, president of the Zurich Commercial Court, who gave an overview of their work. The presentations were followed by a lively discussion with the guests. The enjoyable, interesting and enriching exchange was greatly appreciated by hosts and guests alike.
