Mandate
To develop policy recommendations and tools to address major global environmental and energy issues, including climate change and green economy within the framework of sustainable development, and make a substantive contribution to key intergovernmental discussions in these areas.
Priority Projects
- Channel business expertise into critical-path UNFCCC negotiations ahead of COP30.
- Lead business engagement in key international processes to facilitate the harmonisation, effective design and use of carbon market mechanisms.[1]
- Lead business engagement in the design and implementation of the proposed international treaty to curb plastics pollution.
- Develop external communications campaigns to mark key milestone events in the climate/sustainability agenda, including the 10-year anniversary of the Paris Agreement.
- Pilot and further develop the ICC Principles for Sustainable Trade.[2]
