ICC Webinar «Trump Administration 2.0: First Insights from a Swiss Perspective »

Today, we were honoured to hear Ralf Heckner, Swiss Ambassador to the United States, at our webinar «Trump Administration 2.0: First Insights from a Swiss perspective».

Switzerland is well-positioned in the current trade policy upheavals:

  • Switzerland is a crucial partner to boost innovation, high-qualified jobs and vocational training in the United States.
  • Switzerland is one of the leading foreign direct investors in the United States (#1 in R&D, #6 overall).
  • Switzerland has created more than 500'000 top jobs (average salary >130’000 USD) in the United States.
  • Switzerland is the ideal trading partner for the United States. It has abolished all tariffs on industrial imports and the United States holds a trade surplus in services.

We thank all our guests for the stimulating discussion. A special thanks goes to Ambassador Ralf Heckner for his time and expertise.

“From Cybercrime to Cyberwar: What companies should know -  impact on international trade

Today we were honoured to welcome Dr. Christian Keller from IBM to our Chairman's Lunch in Zurich.

His introduction the Topic: " From Cybercrime to Cyberwar: What companies should know – Impact on international trade" sparked an interesting and lively discussion.

Protecting the cybersecurity of critical infrastructure and its supply chains is essential, as these systems underpin our daily lives—from electricity and water to healthcare and transportation. The growing threat of identity theft and data piracy is poised to become even more severe with the arrival of quantum computing, which will soon be commercially available. This emerging technology poses a significant challenge to current cybersecurity standards and must be taken seriously by both companies and governments. Proactive measures are required to mitigate these risks and ensure the security of our most vital systems. In this context, ICC also published a paper “Protecting the cybersecurity of critical infrastructures and their supply chains” last July.

We thank all our guests for the stimulating discussion. A special thanks goes of course to Dr. Christian Keller for his time and expertise.

At our event in Zurich we were pleased to speak about “ESG regulation and business implication”.

Erich Herzog, economiesuisse, made an Introduction to the “ESG Regulation Tsunami”. Jannick Leiendecker, Boston Consulting Group, presented the current global trends on ESG regulation and business implications and Adrian Peyer, MME, presented the practical insights on Swiss non-financial reporting and supply chain due diligence requirements and challenges.

The substantive part was followed by drinks which offered a perfect opportunity to discuss the topics in a more convivial way.

A very warm thank you to all participants and a special thanks goes to Boston Consulting Group, MME and economiesuisse for their precious support!
